SPOTTED MARSH FROG
Appearance
Also known as the Spotted Grass Frog
This small to medium frog ranges in colour. It often has brown to green blotches, and can also have white and orange/red markings.
Habitat
These frogs can be found in woodlands, grasslands and cleared pastures. They are found in a variety of water body types including rivers, puddles, dams and small ponds.
Diet
Insects are the main food source
Breeding
This frog can breed throughout the year, but mainly in winter to early spring.
Eggs are laid in a large floating foamy mass.
Predators
Snakes, birds, dogs and foxes are major predators
Life expectancy
Varies between 5-15 years
