BROAD PALMED FROG
Medium sized tree frog. Light grey to brown in colour with darker blotches and slightly raised warts. A dark strip runs along the side of the head from the snout to shoulder.
Found in forests, heathlands, grasslands and cleared pastures. Prefer large bodies of water, such as dams and rivers.
Breeding season is late spring through summer. Males call to mate from the edge of the water in vegetation or amongst rocks.
Eggs are laid in clusters near the surface of the water.
Like most frogs, threatened by cats, dogs, birds, foxes as well as habitat change.
